weekend post_Mothers day coming

Every day is mothers day. The modern Mother's Day is celebrated on various days in many parts of the world, most commonly in May, though also celebrated in March in some countries, as a day to honor mothers and motherhood. In the UK and Ireland it follows the old traditions of Mothering Sunday, celebrated in March/April. Everyday is mothers day in my book. Mothers day is all around the world celebrated in different times and days. in my opinion when women started becoming dominant is when women started to be honored as mothers and had to do work. i honor my mother she is my everything and here is a video just for her.

Weekend Post_ Blue Bird Poem

A Poem By Charles Bukowski stated Below also with a Song To go with it.

there's a bluebird in my heart that
wants to get out
but I'm too tough for him,
I say, stay in there, I'm not going
to let anybody see
you.

there's a bluebird in my heart that
wants to get out
but I pur whiskey on him and inhale
cigarette smoke
and the whores and the bartenders
and the grocery clerks
never know that
he's
in there.

there's a bluebird in my heart that
wants to get out
but I'm too tough for him,
I say,
stay down, do you want to mess
me up?
you want to screw up the
works?
you want to blow my book sales in
Europe?

there's a bluebird in my heart that
wants to get out
but I'm too clever, I only let him out
at night sometimes
when everybody's asleep.
I say, I know that you're there,
so don't be
sad.
then I put him back,
but he's singing a little
in there, I haven't quite let him
die
and we sleep together like
that
with our
secret pact
and it's nice enough to
make a man
weep, but I don't
weep, do
you?

The Great Depression

The great depression was a time period from 1920 to 1941. The causes For the Depression is massive bank failures and the stock market. Another Factor was the unemployment rate increased and people were having less money to spend or share. Many People have thought of Hurting themselves because they didn't have any money and back then they needed money to survive back then. The Great Depression was World wide and Effected Bigger Countries like Europe Caribbean islands and As well As The U.S. The failure of so many banks, combined with a general and nationwide loss of confidence in the economy, led to much-reduced levels of spending and demand and hence of production, thus aggravating the downward spiral. The Dust Bowl or the Dirty Thirties was a period of severe dust storms causing major ecological and agricultural damage to American and Canadian prairie lands from 1930 to 1936. An average of 600 banks fail each year. By 1929, the richest 1 percent will own 40 percent of the nation's wealth. in the later 1920's the stock marketing prices raised 40 percent. Weekend Post_Spanish Spain Culture

Spain is located Southwestern Europe, bordering the Bay of Biscay, Mediterranean Sea, North
Atlantic Ocean, and Pyrenees Mountains, southwest of France. the Capital is Madrid and its one of the Spanish speaking countries and the mainland of Spanish speaking places. the religion is mainly Roman Catholic 94%, other 6%. The official language is Spanish, also called Castilian, and is the first language of over 72% of the population. The family is the basis of the social structure and includes both the nuclear and the extended family, which sometimes provides both a social and a financial support network.Today, it is less common than previously for family members to work in a family business, as personal preferences are important and university education is general. Machismo is the word for male dominance, and the culture of old men who created it has changed dramatically.Spain is a very equalitarian society, the birth rate is the one of the lowest in Europe, and women are present at university and work. The majority of Spaniards are formally Roman Catholic, although different religious beliefs are accepted. The Etiquette of Spain is shaking hands when greeting each other.Once a relationship is established, men may embrace and pat each other on the shoulder.People are often referred to as Don or Dona and their first name when in formal occasion as a general rule.If invited to a Spaniard's home, you can bring chocolates, pastries, or cakes; wine, liqueur, or brandy; or flowers to the hostess. the Table manners of Spaniards are Remain standing until invited to sit down. You may be shown to a particular seat. Always keep your hands visible when eating. Keep your wrists resting on the edge of the table. If you have not finished eating, cross your knife and fork on your plate with the fork over the knife and many more. The Music of Spain has a vibrant and long history which has had an important impact on music in Western culture. Although the music of Spain is often associated with traditions like flamenco and the acoustic guitar,Spanish music is in fact incredibly diverse from region to region. there is a little song of mixture of spanish music below

Weekend Post_Jamaican Pasa Pasa

In Jamaica there is a little dirty dancing festival called Pasa Pasa.It is dawn in Kingston, Jamaica, and the fusion of hip-hop and reggae rhythms has transformed one of this city's grittiest slums into a cross between Girls Gone Wild and Cirque du Soleil. The sexually charged displays have come to characterize Passa Passa, a new party craze that has spread outside Jamaica and even to Miami while sparking an uproar in some parts of the Caribbean, including calls for its ban.But in its birthplace in west Kingston, this controversial phenomenon is bringing peace to a community once known for its violence and armed gangs, and transforming it into the most unlikely of tourist destinations. The party straddles two of the area's most notorious slums, Denham Town and Tivoli Gardens. A tenement of shanties and rundown, four-story walk-ups, Tivoli is ground zero in Jamaica's "garrison politics"; the neighborhood gangs enlisted by political parties in the 1970s to enforce loyalty and deliver the votes at election time. Some of the Music that was listened to in Jamaica is Bob Marley And Shaggy and other artists. WeekendPost_Trinidad Festivals

Both Trinidad and Tobago were originally settled by Amerindians of South American origin. Amerindians are mostly like native americans. Christopher Columbus encountered the island of Trinidad on 31 July 1498. Trinidad is also the birthplace of calypso music and the steel pan, which is widely claimed in Trinidad and Tobago to be the only acoustic musical instrument invented during the 20th century. The diverse cultural and religious background allows for many festivities and ceremonies throughout the year. Caribbean Carnival's principal components are calypso, steelpan and playing mas (masquerade).Today Trinidad's model for public celebration is the most widely imitated festival art form in the world. Many Trinidadian Carnival artists are able to work year round performing throughout North America, Europe, and the Caribbean.

Sarah Boone An inventor of Ironing Board

A black inventor in the 19th century was not something that was very common, especially if it was a black inventor that was a woman. When a black woman can overcome ignorant people and racial prejudice, then you know this is women to be remembered. Sarah Boone was the first women to invent the ironing board in April 26, 1892.Before Sarah's inventions, people simply used a table or were creative by lying a plank of wood across two chairs or small tables. Sarah Boone's ironing board was designed to be effective in ironing the sleeves and bodies of ladies' garments.Very little is known about her life and her childhood. Sarah Boone was born on May 18 1867 in Summit, Pike County, Mississippi, and died on the 14th of September in 1919. Sarah Boone invented this ironing board because she wanted to have an easier way to iron clothing without having so much fuss. in todays society the ironing board looks different. However, it was inspired by sarah boone invention and we use it all the time in the house and mostly everyone has it in a home thanks to Sarah Boone. In my opinion Sarah Boorne was a brave women because in her time women were supose to be powerless and in that didnt stop her from being a person to invent at least ironing board. Weekend Post_Frankland Prison

In Frankland Prison A prisoner stabbed and slashed three wardens when he went on the rampage with a shard of glass at a high security jail. Three prison officers were injured, one seriously, after the inmate who is serving a life-sentence went berserk with the makeshift weapon, at Frankland Jail, in Durham. it was luck that the poor man wasn't injured badly to the point of kill. it was a very severe attack but it wasn't a homicide and that was the good part on gods hands. This incident shows the level of violence our officers face on a daily basis. in my opinion this is a miracle and the prisoner being held for life in prison wouldn't be able to come out after this incident.

Weekend Post _Guyanese Culture

Guyana is one of a few mainland territories that is considered to be a part of the Caribbean region.Guyana's musical tradition is a mix of Indian, African, European, and native elements.Among the most successful Guyanese record producers are Rohit Jagessar, Eddy Grant, Terry Gajraj and Dave Martin. the most famous sports in guyana is soft ball, cricket, basketball, table tennis, boxing. There are more. Guyanese cuisine has many similarities to that of the rest of the Caribbean. The food is diverse and includes dishes such as curry, roti and cookup rice (a one-pot meal of rice with beans or peas sometimes a combination of both accompanied by chicken salt or fish).Dishes have been adapted to Guyanese tastes, often by the addition of spices. Unique preparations[3] include Pepperpot, a stew of Amerindian origin made with Cassareep (a bitter extract of the cassava), hot pepper and seasoning. Other favourites are cassava bread, stews, and Metemgie, a thick rich soup with a ground provision coconut base and fluffy dumplings, eaten with fried fish or chicken. Homemade bread-making, an art in many villages, is a reflection of the British influence that includes pastries such as cheese roll, pine (pineapple) tart, and patties (sister to the Jamaican beef patty). Many religions are practised in Guyana, the predominant ones being Christianity, Hinduism and Islam. this is the country i have grown to know and love. my family is guyanese and i am proud to be part of it

Weekend Post__-Chile Destruction

Chilean television says more than 300 bodies have been found in the fishing town of Constitucion which was swamped by a tsunami after the quake. The total number known to have been killed across Chile stands at more than 700, but is expected to rise further.Chilean Senator Evelyn Mathei is one of those trying to come to terms with her experience- while also looking to help. The country is the world's biggest copper producer and the earthquake, which is estimated to have killed 400 people, is believed to have wrecked infrastructure. The quake had forced an initial suspension of up to a fifth of Chile's copper mining capacity – estimated at 4.5m tonnes in concentrate annually – as Anglo American and Codelco halted output at four mines. to know more click here.

Haiti compared to chile was the worse earthquake disaster due to haiti being very poor and having unstable homes. Chile compared to Haiti is a rich country the damage wasn't as severe but people were hurt and buildings were destroyed but everything that was still intact shows how Chile has a very strong construction sight compared to Haiti. click here for more

Weekend Post- Tiger Woods

I don't know about anyone else, but I was quite surprised by the apology, since I don't recall having ever married Tiger. For a brief moment, I was downright ecstatic, thinking of all the ways I might spend a chunk of that reported $30 million per month my -- husband? -- brings in.
Then I realized what was actually going on.For some reason, The World's Greatest Golfer believes that he owed fans and media an apology for stepping out on his wife a time or 13. I have no idea why. i believe tiger wasnt as truthful as he said many girls was saying they wanted an apology but they want an apology or money? This was one of the women voices who stayed anonymos she is said for owning an apology. click here for more

Tazer in Action

It must be a new high school initiative because the tasers were doing some big time zapping recently at a high school basketball game. When you watch this video you get the feeling that this won't be the last time you'll be reading about this. Just from that clip you can see how people might lose their jobs after this incident. Unless someone was packing heat, was there really a need for all of the harassment, intimidation, yelling, pushing, shoving and worst of all tasering? It's not like a coach whipped a ball at a player's head or someone head-butted a person. A Boy Mario has been a victim and he was tazed and he is a kid he wanted to get his sister. His family did press charges because if he was going out of fear for his sister and he had to find his sister then that school has alot of thinking to do. When you think of taser you think of shock. tazer is an electroshock weapon that uses electrical current to disrupt voluntary control of muscles of the human body. here is the link by clicking this or this.
clicking here would allow you to see another veiw of the brawl incident. when you click on the picture you should actually find the full definition of a taser and what it can do.

Youth now have more mental health issues

A new study has found that five times as many high school and college students are dealing with anxiety and other mental health issues as youth of the same age who were studied in the Great Depression era.Overall, an average of five times as many students in 2007 surpassed thresholds in one or more mental health categories, compared with those who did so in 1938. A few individual categories increased at an even greater rate. The study also showed increases in "psychopathic deviation," which is loosely related to psychopathic behavior in a much milder form and is defined as having trouble with authority and feeling as though the rules don't apply to you. The percentage of young people who scored high in that category increased from 5 percent in 1938 to 24 percent in 2007. Click

Learning about Factoring

In higher math levels the basics will naturally be factoring. Not knowing how to factor will mess you up as you get higher in math. Factoring means simplifying into smaller or simplest form. when you multply and divide you would have the factoring rules in there from Monomials Binomials and Polynomial. When you want to factor a quadratic equation like x²+4x+4 you would find two factors of 4 that can be multiplied into 4 as well as sdd up to 4x when finding the two you would be able to have your answer. The factors of 4 is 1,2,4 and the numbers that is able to go into both is 2. the formation would be (x+2)(x+2). To solve and see if its correct you would have to do FOIL method. its First Outter Inner Last. you so x multiplied by x and x multiplied by 2 which will equal x²+2x. then you would multiply 2 by x and 2 by 2 which will equal 2x+4. when you put them together is till be x²+2x+2x+4. You are only able to combind like terms so it will then equal the quadratic of x²+4x+4. thats the basic of Triganometry and geometry.
